Loanworks – Lending Privacy Policy

The Act allows personal information to be collected, used and disclosed for the purposes for which it was collected in accordance with the Act. This Privacy Policy only applies to the extent Loanworks collects, uses and discloses personal information in connection with this website.
Loanworks also has a privacy notice which details its privacy policy in connection with its credit related activities. Borrower and guarantors, including prospective borrowers and guarantors, can request a copy of Loanworks’ privacy notice by contacting the Privacy Officer (details below).
This Privacy Policy may be revised and/or updated from time to time and may subsequently notify users of any changes to the Privacy Policy by posting the revised/updated Privacy Policy on this website. Any changes to the Privacy Policy take effect on the date on which the revised/updated Privacy Policy is posted to this website.
Information disclosed
Loanworks will use and disclose personal information only for the purposes for which it is collected in accordance with the Act, including:
- providing registered Mortgage Managers and/or Brokers with information and documentation concerning their function as Mortgage Manager and/or Broker to Loanworks in respect of its lending programs (Mortgage Managers and/or Brokers who access the “Originator” section of this website have already been registered with us, the website does not facilitate new originator registrations);
- maintaining and updating your records;
- allowing use of personal information in a controlled manner by entities distributing information relevant to registered Mortgage Managers and/or Brokers and any other users (if any);
- providing services and customer support, including service updates;
comparing information for accuracy, and verifying it with third parties; and
providing information as authorised or required by law or a relevant government body or authority.
Anonymity
General users of the website do not need to disclose their identity to Loanworks in order to use this website. This website does not therefore collect personal information about people who generally access the website except in the circumstances described above.
However, Mortgage Managers and Brokers wishing to login and access the Originator services via the website will not be able to maintain anonymity for the purposes of accessing these parts of the website.
Marketing and opt-out
Loanworks may also use the information including personal information provided by a Mortgage Managers and Brokers for marketing and research purposes, to analyse and improve products, benefits, and services and to inform an Originator of products and services provided by Loanworks, its related entities or preferred suppliers which Loanworks consider may be of value or interest to the Originator unless the Originator opts out. If an Originator does not wish to receive any information about such products and services, they can contact the Privacy Officer.
Accessing your personal information
Individuals may request information regarding the personal information that we may hold, or request that we update such information, by emailing privacy@loanworks.com.au or by phoning (02) 9278 9700. We will respond to such requests within 30 days from receipt of the individual’s enquiry.
At the individual’s request (or where it is otherwise appropriate to do so) we will provide any updated information to the provider of that information (e.g. our client).
Individuals have the right to request the correction of any of their personal information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date.
